Braided Loaf

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Use half refrigerator rolls recipe.
  2. Mix in 1 C candied fruit.
  3. Divide dough into two pieces. One piece is 1/3 of the dough and the other piece is 2/3 of the dough.
  4. Divide each section into thirds.
  5. Roll larger section into 15" strand. Lay strands of dough onto greased baking sheet. Pinch top ends and braid. Roll smaller section of dough into approximately 18" strands. Braid as for first section and place on top of larger braid.
  6. Cover and let rise until double.
  7. Cook at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
  8. Move to rack to cool.
  9. Top with powdered sugar icing, candied fruit and nuts.
